TopChirp has Chosen Their Next Product

Here it is November already and we have been busy!

We met for 2 to 8 hours every week since StartupKC working out a host of details folks in a new venture need to consider. Along the way this group of former strangers has learned about one another and grown closer as a result. Unfortunately, we are also a smaller group as life’s responsibilities or other  opportunities have taken some down a different path.

So, what has TopChirp, LLC been up to?

First of all, you did read that right, TopChirp is now officially an LLC with officers, operating agreements, equity shares and a real neat official embossing seal from LegalZoom.com.

We’ve also determined TopChirp is a product development company interested in making Internet ready products that blend Social Networking, informational products, physical products, and are fun to work with. We are also committed to building the Kansas City startup environment and fostering new companies right here.

Fun is certainly what we had as we tossed ideas for products around, grouped them in different ways, then preened and pared them down to just a few finalists, finally selecting the best idea to develop for our next offering.  And it all came down to the roll of the dice.

Roll of the dice? You mean you did all that study only to leave your fate to random chance?

Well, sort of, but not like you may think. Our first product involves services and products that facilitate and support pen-and-paper Role Playing Gamers. We are real excited about our plans, and for many of us, we are rediscovering a fondly remembered pastime from days before RPGs went massively online. Back when it was about using your imagination to transport you to far off realms for adventures and spoils.

For the immediate future, some of us plan on visiting and learning about the Kansas City RPG community by checking out ShaunCon this weekend. Plus, we are exploring web site design options along with testing various software so we come up with the best product we can. If you have mad skills in these areas and would like to proposition us, please do! Just comment on this post, and if you want it kept private, just say so in the comment and we won’t let it out of moderation.

The next 2-3 months should see the launch of our initial RPG services and offerings while we endeavor to expand the product in the months following.

After that? Well stay tuned, we have lots of plans in our pipeline!
